It is our mission to protect and promote our local food heritage and to create a robust connection between earth friendly farmers and gardeners, responsible food artisans, our members and the larger community. We are dedicated to reviving the pleasures of the kitchen and table by embracing a slower rhythm of life. By celebrating healthy, locally grown, delicious food we promote and preserve the culinary identity and traditions of the region. We recognize the value of responsible stewardship of land and water. We champion the connection between what we eat and the land and water that our food comes from. We aim to gather and share information about the special culinary heritage of the area. We are committed to helping all aspects of our local food community. Our convivium brings to life the values and goals of Slow Food in our area through education and outreach. We count ourselves among the grassroots of the worldwide movement to champion, celebrate and preserve local food traditions.
